MAWA is fortunate in having some first class coaches who offer their services free to club members.
The coaching schedule has been updated for 2026/27 – click here.
Whether you want to bring down your times or improve your technique just come along to one of the sessions – no need to book. And Road Runners can also benefit greatly from a weekly track session.

State Multi Event Championships
This summer will be a shortened season for Athletics West with the World Police Games starting in early March followed immediately by stadium closure for track re-surface.
For this reason the state multis will be held on 21-22 November.
We thank AW again for their foresight in running a women’s decathlon and a men’s heptathlon. We have also asked AW if MAWA members who will only do this one event during the season can enter without AW registration.
Please check entry dates on the AW website

Uniform Shop Open
Our online uniform shop is now open for a short time and will CLOSE 12 October so if you need a uniform please order now.
For competition in Strive or State competition events you need to wear the MAWA men’s or women’s singlet with any black shorts. There are also run shorts available in the shop. You can now also wear the MAWA men’s or woman’s T-Shirt in competition. Women can also wear the MAWA crop top – there are two options, the standard crop and the long crop design.
Replacement bib numbers are now a permanent item in the shop so if you lose your bib or it is getting worn you can order a replacement.
Reminder we also now have men’s and women’s long sleeve T-shirts. Other items available are the visor or cap in black or white. The Track jacket and track pants can be bought separately and there is also a hoodie. There is a size chart for each item in the shop.
