We extend our sympathy to the family of our long-term member, Lorna (#38), who has passed away. Lorna was a World Champion race walker, WMA Gold Medal winner and world record holder. At the WMA Championship in Lyon in 2015, Lorna was the top walker in the W85 section, and she attended that event with her granddaughter to witness her great achievements.
Lorna served as a race director and was a well-respected club member who was awarded Life Membership for her contribution to the Club.
Lorna’s funeral is next Monday, 20 July at 1.00pm at Pinnaroo.
