The AMA half marathon is again a postal event, this year run by ACT. Perth’s two qualifying events are the Club Half on 17th August and the Perth Running Festival on 12th October More information here

This Sunday 4 May at 8am marks the start of the Road Running/Walking Championships.    There are four different championships – Long and Short Road Running and Long and Short Road Walking.  To be eligible for an award all three events must be completed in each championship. On a perfect night for 10k running 12 athletes competed in this year’s track handicap at ECAC. Silke Peglow started off scratch and dared someone to catch her – and they very nearly did! She got the bell first but in a nail-biting final lap Clare and Rodney bore down on her like caged tigers.…
